Laura’s Boudoir Experience: Transformation and Renewed Confidence
Today, we’re excited to share the incredible boudoir experience of Laura S., one of our amazing clients whose transformation and renewed confidence remind us exactly why we’re so passionate about boudoir.
When Laura first reached out, she had two reasons for wanting to take the lead and finally step in front of the camera: She wanted a unique present for her husband on their wedding day and she had just achieved a major personal milestone—losing 50 pounds and wanting to show off all her hard work.
Before her session, Laura described herself as excited and curious. She said our pre-session call “took a lot of the nerves away” so she was able to walk into the studio feeling prepared and confident!
Once she arrived, everything clicked into place.
“My experience was great! The hair and makeup team made me look amazing and Terri was so inviting. Every room is different and has amazing lighting. Terri made me feel comfortable posing. I had no idea what to do but everything was modeled and directed.”
When asked how she felt when she saw her images for the first time, Laura said, “Like a goddess! I couldn’t believe it was me.” Receiving her finished album was just as meaningful. “I was so happy with the end result. The book is beautiful.”
This experience is about so much more than just the photos—it’s about seeing yourself in a new light and reconnecting with your confidence.
Laura decided to gift her album to her husband on their wedding day, and the reaction was everything she hoped for and more.
“One of my bridesmaids gave it to him before I walked down the aisle,” she told us. “He just kept saying, ‘oh wow… oh my god.’ After the wedding he kept thanking me and told me he even cried.”
Boudoir doesn’t end when you leave the studio. It follows you in your confidence, in how you carry yourself, and in how you see your worth!
“I feel sexier,” Laura said. “Especially from the reaction my husband gave me.”
She also shared something so many women relate to:
“As I get older, I’m less inclined to get dressed up and feel sexy. I’m always in sweats running my kid around. It felt amazing to feel sexy and seen again.”
